In the Edinburgh Marathon for 2009, the UK's second biggest marathon, Momentum has seven guaranteed places up for grabs. These can be taken by Relay Teams of four (counting as one place), or by individual marathon runners. Ask now - or they'll be snapped up soon!

If you are not up for the full 26.2 miles, remember you can enter a team of 4 in the Relay Race which is proving more and more popular. Here is a Momentum team from 2006 (5 were allowed in a team that year) - still looking good after the finish!
The cost in 2009 is £100 to enter a relay team. If you come onboard as an individual runner doing the full Marathon, Momentum will authorise your charity place on receipt of a £60 non-refundable deposit. In both instances your sponsorship target will then be £500. We'll give you a Momentum T-shirt to train in!

Big Lottery Fund Boost for Momentum The Strathclyde Momentum Programme has started 2012 with a funding boost from the Big Lottery Fund after being awarded £793,061 to assist people with disabilities into work.
