In the Edinburgh Marathon for 2008, the UK's second biggest marathon, Momentum has four guaranteed places still up for grabs. These can be taken by Relay Teams of four (counting as one place), or by individual marathon runners. Ask now - or they'll be snapped up soon!
Laura Rhatigan, who completed her first ever marathon in Edinburgh in 2007 in 4 hours and 50 minutes raising funds for Momentum.
If you are not up for the full 26.2 miles, remember you can enter a team of 4 in the Relay Race which is proving more and more popular. Here is a Momentum team from 2006 (5 were allowed in a team that year) - still looking good after the finish!
The cost in 2008 is £100 to enter a relay team. If you come onboard as an individual runner doing the full Marathon, Momentum will authorise your charity place on receipt of a £60 non-refundable deposit. In both instances your sponsorship target will then be £500. We'll give you a Momentum training T-shirt to train in, plus our massage therapist will be along to give all our runners a reviving and much-needed leg massage!
