MOMENTUM EVENTS FOR 2008/09

Sky Diving -  From three jump centres in central Scotland.  Raise just £395 and get your jump for FREE! (See the Sky Diving page listed on the left here.)

October - date TBC The Forth Rail Bridge Abseil

Following on the success of our April event, we hope to have ten guaranteed places available in October for this, the UK's best abseil. Not only do you abseil 165ft but you enjoy the incredible views from the superstucture itself on the way out to the drop point.  Early enquiries welcome. (See page on the left here.)

Saturday 28th June - Saturday 5th July 2008  The Mont Blanc Summit Challenge

This event is now closing but we will offer it again for 2009, so enquire now if you want to heve the time you will need to fundraise and to train.  Climb western Europe's highest mountain under the close instruction of Chamonix's world-famous mountain guides.  What a challenge!  Stay in stunning mountain lodges and enjoy the stupendous views of this incredible place.  (See page under 'Overseas Challenges' on the left here.)

Saturday 6th September 2008  White Water Rafting Adventure Day

The time to book your team for this popular event is NOW! Everyone's rafted the River Tay - it's boring - so we raft the brilliant River Tummel near Pitlochry instead!  A dam-release of water from the upstream Cluny Dam ensures a great raft trip for beginners and experts alike.  If you've never done rafting, you're in for a treat.  (See the White Water Rafting page listed on the left here.)

November 6 - 15 2008  Bighearted Scotland David Livingstone Challenge

Book now to allow preparation time! Whitewater Rafting, Bush Trekking, Canoeing and Community Activity in Zambia in aid of Bighearted Scotland - a fundraising consortium of which Momentum is one of the seven participating charities.  (See Bighearted Scotland link at the left here)

November 8th - 15th 2008 Trek the Sahara

Your challenge takes you beyond theJebel Saghro region, a forbidding landscape punctuated by stark peaks, formidable gorges and bright oases.  (See the Sahara Trek listed on the left)

Sunday 7th December 2008  The Santa Ski & Board Challenge

Back for a second year is this popular event for skiers and boarders.  Ski 25 times down the SNO!zone slopes of Xscape Braehead dressed in the supplied Santa Suit. 

6th - 15th March 2009  The Cuba Cycle Challenge

Our sixth year of organising this successful cycle challenge to amazing Cuba in the company of Cuban cycle guides.  Cycle 450km (280miles) in five days through orange groves, sugar plantations and tree-lined avenues.  (See the 'Overseas Challenges' page listed on the left here.)

May 2009 West Highland Way Walk

Do Britain's best-loved long distance path the easy way with luggage forwarding onto your next night's cozy B&B, meaning all you have to carry is a day-sac!  Led by Scotland's leading walking guide, Fred Chatterton, this is an ever-popular week's walking.  (See page on the left here.)

May 2009 Edinburgh Marathon

The 2008 event is now closed but we have seven guaranteed places available in the UK's second biggest marathon for 2009. (See page listed on the left here.)
