Momentum Borders, in partnership with the Work Ahead project, supports adults in the Scottish Borders to rebuild their lives following a brain injury.
Specialist staff help people learn the skills they need to live independently and to re-integrate into their communities. This includes managing the effects of their brain injury, one-to-one support, and a range of information, including a counselling service. Courses in daily living skills are also offered in partnership with Borders College.
The programme provides an outreach service to an area covering 1800 square miles in the Borders.
Two support groups based in Berwickshire and the Central Borders meet monthly and give service users the opportunity to meet other people with a brain injury in their local communities.
Momentum Borders receives vital funding from Scottish Borders Council.
