Momentum's Pathways programme, in partnership with the Big Lottery-funded Work Ahead project, provides specialist training and support for adults with a brain injury who want to return to work or further education.
Our staff help service users to manage the effects of their brain injury by delivering training in memory skills, improving concentration, confidence-building, and managing stress and anxiety.
With the help of a Momentum job coach, service users are assisted to identify and work towards achievable employment options. Coaching is given in both interview and job seeking skills and staff assist service users to secure work placements in preparation for returning to the workplace. Support continues to both service users and their employers throughout the work placement and once back in employment.
Pathways also gives service users the opportunity to work for nationally recognised qualifications from the SQA and City & Guilds.
