Clients are supported to find ways of breaking down the barriers that are preventing them from working. Our programmes are designed to assist them to gain qualifications, skills and work experience, which will enable them to confidently compete in the labour market.

"My support worker is superb - I really don't know what I'd do without her. My job as a lecturer is very varied and involves a lot of travelling for conferences and meetings. A few years ago I would have been able to travel alone but my mobility problems mean that I can no longer do that. Kathleen helps me to do so and also to do the day-to-day parts of my job that I have difficulty with, such as filling out forms and filing. The continuity that Kathleen provides in terms of care is also very important to me". Dr Annalu Waller, who accessed our Access to Work service to help her find a suitable support worker.
