Haven Products has scooped a top award for its commitment to employee development.

HAVEN EMPLOYEE AWARDED MBE
A royal day was had by Haven Products employee, Donald Stirling, who visited Buckingham Palace on Friday (October 30, 2009) to be presented with an MBE for his campaigning work for the rights of people with learning disabilities across Europe.

Leading Scottish social enterprise, Haven Products, has scooped the Edrington Supplier Gold Award for performance excellence at an annual awards ceremony held by the international whisky firm, The Edrington Group.

Central Glasgow MSP, Hugh O'Donnell, visited Scotland's first Star Social Firm to find out more about how social enterprise can provide employment solutions and help to tackle major issues in Scotland.

A partnership between Cardonald College Glasgow and social enterprise firm, Haven Products, will offer a fantastic opportunity for disabled employees, who make up 80% of Haven Products' workforce, to gain nationally-recognised qualifications accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority.

Birmingham Brain Injury Programme Gets Sport Relief Boost
A Birmingham brain injury service, provided by the not-for-profit organisation Momentum (formerly Rehab UK), has been awarded more than £4,000 by Sport Relief to run sit-down volleyball sessions for its clients. 

Aberdeenshire Provost Visits Brain Injury Programme
Aberdeenshire Provost Bill Howatson today (Tuesday March 16) learnt more about the lifeline brain injury services provided across Grampian, when he visited a brain injury service run by leading not-for-profit organisation Momentum.
