Access to Work helps disabled people throughout Scotland to secure and keep employment by linking them with a support worker who will give practical help, which enables them to do their job.
Support worker assistance could include:

Note taker or reader - acting as scribe for those with hearing impairment or dyslexia or providing assistance for those with visual impairment.

Job aide - undertaking a small part of someone's job that they are unable to do because of their disability and completing the task under the disabled person's supervision.

Driver - for employees who need help to get to work or to travel for work.

Job coach - mainly to support people with learning difficulties or mental health problems in their daily tasks
