Get Back Plus is a job retention programme which helps people who are at risk of losing their job following an illness or injury.

Research shows that replacing a professional who is unable to return to work can cost the equivalent of 18 months salary. Job retention is significantly more cost effective.

Get Back Plus also provides support to employers, assisting them to understand the needs of such employees and offers practical solutions which may enable them to return to work.

Where this isn't possible, the programme supports and encourages service users to find new employment or, if appropriate, to retrain for another field of work.

Programmes are individually tailored and include personal development and disability management, employer liaison, job coaching and work site evaluation, training in new or adaptive technology. Service users are also assisted to explore their employment options and with job seeking skills.

Get Back Plus also assists service users and employers to manage disability in the workplace and to promote equal opportunities for disabled people.

Momentum's Get Back Plus programme is currently offered in Glasgow.
