Momentum's innovative Employment Development Team (formerly ESTeam) enables people in Aberdeen City and the surrounding area with mental health difficulties to break down the barriers to employment.
The programme works on a 50:50 basis with staff and service users, to make sure that service users take part in all aspects of the programme's design, development and delivery. More than 80 people who experience chronic and acute mental health difficulties access the service each year.
Staff assist service users to set realistic goals for the future with the focus on starting or returning to work.
Key elements of the service include assessment, personal development, vocational goal planning, and job coaching.
