- Open Internet Explorer
- On the Internet Explorer toolbar select Tools > Internet Options
- Under the General Tab select Accessibility
Accessibility options can be set on your Internet Explorer browser and are primarily used for sight impaired users. Sight impaired users can adjust the following 'Accessibility' settings in their browser:
- Font Colours
- Font Styles
- Font Sizes
- Select a Cascading Stylesheet (CSS)
Sight impaired users have the ability to 'switch off' font colours, styles and sizes on web pages, which makes it easier for sight impaired users to read the text on a web page.
In addition, users can use their own cascading stylesheets (CSS) which may be tailored to make viewing web pages easier.
Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) are specific styles that can be pre-defined to determine the way text should appear on a web page.
In general, sight impaired users prefer to use 'Accessibility' options to view pages in plain text.
