Service User Representation - National Service Users' Council

A major step towards developing service user representation is Momentum's National Service Users' Council which was set up in 2003 to increase service user involvement.

The council complements our Service Users' Charter of Rights and Responsibilities which was launched in October 2002 by the then Minister for Health and Community Care, Malcolm Chisholm, MSP.

The Council meets regularly, giving service users the opportunity to contribute to Momentum's development and to ensure their voices are heard.

Made up of four service user members and four Momentum staff, the council has a clear agenda for each meeting. Minutes are available and accessible to all staff and service users.

To contact the Service Users Council, email: suc@momentumscotland.org
